The debate about the most significant creation within the last 100 years of human history is not straightforward because different people base their augments on various criteria leading to oppositions about the topic.Advertising We will write a custom critical writing sample on Computer Technology in The Last 100 Years of Human History specifically for you for only $16.05 $11/page Learn More To address this debate, this analytical essay will try to persuade a mixed audience in terms of gender and age. The audience will be composed of male and female college students aged 16 to 21 years. The argument supporting the topic will focus on a thesis articulating that computer technology is the utmost invention influencing the youth. The essay will, in addition, highlight how computers influence younger generations constructively and unconstructively. The positive influences of computer technology on younger generations are immeasurable despite its obvious negat ivity. The main purpose of inventing computers was to help humans solve compound arithmetic problems. The outcomes of the invention may be comprehended in terms of VIP communication, space exploration, the Internet, email and the web, television broadcast, movie production and almost every aspect of human living. Following the invention and launch of personal computers, every aspect of younger generations living has been affected. The youth utilize computers in all aspects of their living such as writing assignments, doing research, communicating, listening to music, viewing movies, and traveling. Actually, the younger generations encountered their first computer before the birth through ultra sound scanning during the pregnancy scan.Advertising Looking for critical writing on computer science? No wadays, students must possess computers skills because lecturers use computer technologies such as screen projectors and online classes to teach. Furthermore, writing assignments entails the use of personal computers and so does the submission of assignments for awarding grades (Jacko and Sears 414). Work In the most developed nations, students look for summer and part time employment opportunities using computer technology. In fact, modern day employers and recruiting agents require job applicants to submit their credentials electronically. Electronic submission is attainable by means of using computer technology. With the introduction and growth of computer technology, contemporary places of work have experienced remarkable changes. Most students are hopefulness that they will find job opportunities after graduating from colleges or other tertiary institutions. Computer technology, such as mobile telephone communication, video conferencing, and virtual workrooms, have created an i nterconnected world where workers do not leave their places of residence to go to their work (Jacko and Sears 416). Students should appreciate the vast opportunities the computer technology presents the students with. Many students are embracing computer technology in finding work to pay for school, housing, and food (Jacko and Sears 415). In view of this, computer technology has made freelance work possible. Moreover, students who find summer season jobs in organizations, such as MacDonaldââ¬â¢s, Starbucks, Wal-Mart and other companies offering temporally work to students need computer technology to communicate with customers and senior managers.Advertising We will write a custom critical writing sample on Computer Technology in The Last 100 Years of Human History specifically for you for only $16.05 $11/page Learn More Students, who do not have computer skills, are likely to struggle hard to find work. Communications Currently, almost every student has a cell phone, email address, or asocial media account. These communication tools are based on computer technology, and are the foundation of younger generationsââ¬â¢ living. The youth spend more time using computer technology than they do using non-computer technology. Computer technology has eased the harnessing of the Internet, which forms the basis of modern communication. Today, younger generations use the Internet to connect, work, and socialize with each other (Girard and Girard 265). Newspaper readership has reduced because of computer technology. In contrast to older generations, younger generations read newspapers less because the latter prefers to read news items using computer technologies, such as PDAs, Smart Phones, and Tablets (OECD 44). Research has confirmed that younger generations continue to spend more time using mobile phones for texting or sending SMS (Wilska 441). Mobile phones base their functionalities on computer technologies such as Java and Android programs. Computer technology continues to influence younger generation communication aspects through television broadcasting and motion pictures viewership. The scale of the information disseminated through television transmission, movies screening and the Internet could help comprehend the influence of computer technology on human communications.Advertising Looking for critical writing on computer science? Let's see if we can help you! Get your first paper with 15% OFF Learn More Younger generations use these media source to obtain information, therefore, these generations are the most influenced by the technology. Computers have enabled continuous transmission of information across the globe (Castells, Fernandez-Ardevol and Qiu 161). While computer technology has presented huge benefits to the youth, it has its detriments. The major downside of computer technology is over dependence, which affects social development. A substantial number of young people in colleges and high schools are addicted to computer technologies, such as computer games, Internet pornography, and social media. The young face the challenge of developing poor social skills as some prefer to spend their leisure time playing computer games and chatting on social media instead of interacting with people physically (Kirsh 377). Computer technologies are criticized for making people indolent and reducing their intellect. A study done in Britain established that over 50% of children aged less than 12 years could not read time on an analog watch, but could comfortably identify time on a digital watch (Womack 1). Digital watch uses computer technology to display time. What is more, obesity is another factor most prevalent in countries with high penetration levels or use of computer technology. So, inactive lifestyles such as watching television, and playing computer games could be linked to computer technology. These two aspects of computer technology mostly influence young generations. Computer technology is detrimental to the lives of younger generations because it fails. Since these generations over depend on computer technology, a small malfunction could lead to late tendering of assignments, loss of work and money, and increase in stress levels among other negative effects. For instance, a faculty may schedule an online examination at 14:00, but computer problems such as low Internet connectivity, malware or virus infection or a computer failing to boot (Andrews 245) , could mean rescheduling of the examination for another time or in another location. Such inconveniences lead to loss of time and resources. Conclusion The very nature of modernity signifies that computer technology is the most significant invention to happen within the last 100 years of human history. Computer technology influences younger generations more than it does older generations. Computer technology has been with man for roughly 50 years, but its influence on aspects of modern societies is immeasurable. Computer technology is found everywhere from modern banks, shopping outlets, educational institutions to workplaces. Computer technology remains the influential and vital invention of the twentieth century. However, this technology is still nascent in its capabilities despite being 50 years old. Soon, computer technology will overtake other inventions and profoundly influence more human society living aspects than it does today. Works Cited Andrews, Jean. The Male Identity in Scorsese Moviesàessays
The Male Identity in Scorsese Moviesà essays When audience members look at films they want to put reality on the shelf and enjoy a well written movie. Martin Scorsese has always captivated and fascinated his audience members for many years. His types of movies tend to have a male leads while the female characters are sometimes not as developed or have an integral part to the plot itself. In "Raging Bull" and in "The Age of Innocence" we see two representations of male characters with very different but yet similar issues. These two movies are very different on the surface because both take place in two separate time periods. One movie is about a famous boxer while the other follows a New York socialite when people where divided into classes based on how much money they earned. Director Martin Scorsese does a great job in controlling the flow of information in this movie. The beginning of this scene shows the main character Jake La Motta and his brother, Joey sitting around a diner table. We start to hear a very strange dialogue between Jake and hes telling his brother to hit him as hard as he can to show that he can take it. He is doing this to show how he can beat anyone in the ring and prove his manhood. He is also trying to show his brother how he can take punches without feeling much pain. His brother complies with his request and we have the camera going from brother to brother showing him being punched and his brother receiving each violent blow to the face. This whole scene follows the classical continuity rule of editing which talks about match on action. This is done when Joey punches his brother and in the next shot we see his fist continuing that motion in a very smooth cut. We then see them sitting opposite one another which gives th e shot and reverse shot technique. We see behind both shoulders of these actors as the action is talking place. Each shot feels very rhythmic and flows very naturally in the space and time provided. The costume...

Life of an American Slave in Early American History Essay
Life of an American Slave in Early American History - Essay Example Early American slaves were native Indians and a few exported from West Indies. During the later part of slavery, slaves were imported from the African continent in large numbers. The life of slaves was really pathetic. Atrocious behavior of the elite people made their life even worse. Slaves were put to work in the most heinous conditions in the plantations and domestic premises. The situation of slaves who worked in the plantations was really pitiable. They were not as educated or sophisticated as the domestic slaves. Domestic slaves were mostly women. Most of the men worked in plantations. Domestic slaves were well aware of the happenings in the whole household. They also had deep knowledge in the happenings in the political area. Majority of the slaves were concentrated in the upper south area. The native Indian slaves and the African American slaves tried to reconstruct their lost culture in America. This resulted and contributed in the development of the famous American culture that is unique with its racial diversity and ethnicity. This ethnic culture was later termed as popular culture. Slangs were introduced to the language and literature by the African slaves and their descendants. This enriched the literature and gave it a fresh outlook with more depth and broadness. Music was the passion of American slaves and they saw music as a source of entertainment and relaxation. Besides, they perceived music as a means of an outcry of the hurt feelings. Jazz music was introduced into the field of music by the slaves. Thus, the contribution made by the slaves to augment the modern American culture was enormous. The contribution of American leaders to develop and unify a culture that enjoyed wide diversity in religion and ethnicity is praiseworthy. Along with the struggle for freedom and emancipation of slavery movement, the American leaders also succeeded in building up a nation with multitude races that were unified and distinct from the rest of the world. à à à à à à Eve Kornfeld through the book, ââ¬Å"Creating an American Cultureâ⬠(Kornfeld par. 1) tries to expose the efforts made by the eminent leaders like Noah Webster, Benjamin Rush, Judith Sargent Murray, David Ramsay, Mercy Otis Warren and other intellectuals to develop an inimitable national literature that integrated a nation and reconstructed the concept of an exclusive nationhood. Most Americans have a static vision of slavery that existed in America. When we talk about slavery, the

Discussing an artwork Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 500 words
Discussing an artwork - Essay Example This makes it possible for one to perceive water as a plane that reaches to the canvasââ¬â¢ depth, which Venus seems to be approaching. Venus comes in front towards reality of the onlookerââ¬â¢s edge. The picture is beautiful reflecting a mysterious movement as Venus slithers from a distance while flowers in pink float. The slow descent of the pink flowers reveals that the air around Venus is still and warm. The Aura and Zephyrus, which are the characters floating in the air drift Venus forward using their breath. The sky they are floating in is weightless and motionless, while they lock in an embrace. While Venus is ratifying her inspiration, the characters follow her romance in air free from any kind of restriction. Venus portrays a curve-like pose, while holding her hair in front and using the other hand to cover her breast. Since she is stilting her head, her eyes appear indefinable (Lazzari and Schlesier 6). The ââ¬Å"Birth of Venusâ⬠reflects popular culture. Most people in the world today are inclined towards the things the world has to offer as well as the forces influencing it. Thus, the artwork by Botticelli aims at encouraging people to focus on the beautiful aspects of life as well as have hope that ideal things will become apparent in the coming years once they keep hope. In terms of elements, Botticelli employs when composing ââ¬Å"Birth of Venusâ⬠include a golden ratio as well as a suggestion of oval configuration. Venus is abnormally large and is situated at the paintingââ¬â¢s center. The dimensions of the canvas come from a golden mean. He portrays the importance of Venus by creating an oval composition illusion. With regard to subject matter of the painting, Venus depicts two key aspects. Firstly, she serves as a god in earth who stimulated human beings to engage in physical love. She is also portrayed as a god in heaven who inspires humans to practice

East Asian Culture
East Asian Culture Orient is defined as study of East Asian culture, their tradition and its impact on the rest of the world. European found the word orient. The term was further developed in the form of orient and oxidant. Oriental countries are all East Asian countries like Japan, Korea, China and an oxidant country means all Western countries. The word ââ¬ËOrient describes in many ways, as far as Edward Said ââ¬Å"its a place of romance, exotic being, haunting memories and landscapes.â⬠In short we can say its a cultural study and its impact on the world through its politics and economy mainly. The orient is the neighbors of Europe and they are the oldest as well as richest colonies of the twentieth century. Orient helped Europe in defining its ideas, personality and culture in many ways. It is an integral part of the European material civilization and culture. Said mentioned in his book ââ¬Å"Orientalism expresses and represents that part culturally and even ideologically as a mode of discourse with supporting institutions, vocabulary, scholarships, imaginary, doctrine and even colonial bureaucracies and colonial styles.â⬠From Edward Saids point of view there was negligence in orientalism by the world. The reason was high ended executive attitude of ninetieth and early twentieth century in European colonies. Japan was the sufferer of the cross cultural conflict in early twentieth century The conflict was between the Japan and western countries. In the early twentieth century Japan and other oriental regions often carries assumptions that western countries are far more superior and eastern region that is oriental region is more superior for there ancient tradition. Therefore orientalsim is known for understanding eastern culture to west. The reasons behind the conflicts were, orient of Japan represents a unique culture field which is modernistic also and has traditional Japanese sense also. In some respect for Japan I can say orientalism is the part of ethnocentrism. Orientalism is not an outdated way of knowing colonism in Japan but also it is an integral part of the modern consciousness. Ethnocentrism is a particular group of culture which is somehow better than the other cultural groups. It is a view of there own understanding towards there own culture. Till late eighteenth century, people were seeing the interchange between the academic and imaginative type of orientalism, but after some more further detailed research Edward Said discovered the third type of orientalism which is called as Academic orientalism. In this corporate institution analyzed and discussed orientalism in there own ways, therefore we can say that orientalism as a western style for dominating, recruiting and having authority towards the orient. From Edward Saids point of view, orientalism is fueled by academic orientalism concept. E.g. In America, in late twentieth century, the term orientalism was changed to ââ¬ËEast Asian studies but in Britain and some parts of Europe it is still called as ââ¬ËSchool of Oriental and African Studies or SOAS. The fact of Saids orientalism as not much to consider because, culture and nations whose location is in the east and there histories, customs have less reality and it is better than it could be said and assumed. For understanding the ideas, histories, culture and power of configuration, the orient was created, which is called as orientalized. These things simply believe that, things happen simply as a necessity of the imagination and the power of dominance between the orient and oxidant. Orientalism is not exactly called as a political subject or issue as it is passively reflected by culture, scholarships, institution and not the large diffuse collection of text about the orient. It is rather than cultural, geographical awareness to the western world, this might help to western world to understand the orient properly and to correct the wrong assumptions made over the orient. It is a distribution of geopolitical awareness into the aesthetics, scholarly, economic, sociological and historic text. It is an elaboration of geographical location as well as scholarly discoveries and phi logical reconstruction. Americans ideological thinking about east has generally found that, American give more importance to China than other oriental countries like Japan. They think that, Chinese culture is more easily accessible and flexible than Japanese culture. American feels Chinese are more like them in more private nature, they are educated, rational and more practical as well as they are more frank. Even Chinese food is more adoptable and has some western influence to it but Japanese eat raw fish and Miso soup which is not comfortable to western world. Japanese orientalism has much more cultural conflicts than other because, in late eighteenth century Japanese people feels that there culture is more mixed with western culture but western countries feels that Japanese culture is not more easily accessible to them. Japanese social institutions signify that, Japanese culture has high level of sophistication, yet it also appeared highly feudal to modern world. Western image of Japan was not fully negative. There are many positive cultural and traditional things that western world thinks about Japan. Romantic culture really teaches the world there sophisticated culture, with its indigenous traditions are in close harmony. Some of the world famous things of cultural evidence are Bonsai trees, bamboo and wooden houses, female accessories from natural resources like bamboo stick hats, Zen Buddhism and meditation techniques, macrobiotic cooking and ceramic vessel art teaches the modern world about Japanese quality of living and the evidence of there culture that they are aesthetically more attuned than rest of the world. Image of the Japanese people in there private life is completely different. They are little bit fanatical, deceitful in nature. The great study of different cultures in the world done by Richard D. Lewis in his book known as ââ¬ËWhen cultures collides which was published in 1982. This book is the best referral to many other people who do there business overseas. Richard wrote some specific observation of Japanese people in his book, Japanese children are encouraged to be completely dependent and keep a sense of interdependence throughout their lives. Everything must be placed in context in Japan. Japanese are constrained by their thought processes in a language very different from any other. They do not like meeting newcomers. They represent their group and can not therefore pronounce on any matters without consultation- cannot initiate an exchange of views. Westerners are individuals, but the Japanese represent a company which represents Japan The Japanese go to incredible lengths to be polite. As far as I conclude on Richards comments on Japanese people, I feel Japanese people are very private in nature and independent from childhood. They have very much proud feeling for there country and every time they mention there feelings. If they do some mistake then, they can go to any level of politeness. In World War II ethnocentrism exhibited, which carried some negative consequences in terms of cross cultural communications. Reaction of America on economic defeat created some negative impact on the Japanese people living in America. E.g. Congressman smashed Japanese radio in Capitol Hill and Chinese person was murdered as he was assumed as Japanese. So I can say that Orientalism taught many cultural things to world through there tradition and oriental objects. For my essay I chose Japanese six paneled screen as my oriental object. As this object is oriental, there are many cultural details hidden inside this object and through the detail analysis I will show some points of oriental evidence hidden in the object.

Compare Barak Obama’s and Martin Luther King’s persuasive speeches
Barak Obama and Martin Luther King are two very important historical people that helped America return to it ideals. Obama is the first black president of the United States, elected in 2008. King was the moral leader of the civil rights movements; he was fighting for legal equality for black people. King was addressing the 1963 March on Washington to the black and white supporters in favour of civil rights. His profession as a pastor and his pacifist beliefs influenced his speech; also he was a preacher and strongly believed in non violence. The result of his speech and the movement he led was a direct turning point and change of law, which soon lead to the end of segregation. Later on, indirectly it led to the election of the first black president. Barak Obama was addressing his supporters after the election in 2008, when he made his speech. A few things influenced Obamaââ¬â¢s speech, including his election as the first black president and his need to unite all parties. Also, this was the time of the credit crunch and many people were losing their jobs, this was a big influence. In Martin Luther Kingââ¬â¢s speech he uses a range of persuasive techniques to engage his audience. For example, he uses similes and metaphors to illustrate points he talks about that are more difficult to understand, so his audience always recognizes what he is trying to get across. For instance, King quotes ââ¬Å"we will not be satisfied until justice rolls down like waters and righteousness like a mighty stream.â⬠This makes Kingââ¬â¢s point very clear about how he wants justice to flow as if it were normal and with discretion. He also uses references to the declaration of independence and emphasises the idea of equality. King quotes ââ¬Å"this note was a promise that all men would be guaranteed the inalienable rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.â⬠This is showing that equality is not just an opinion, but a right that everyone has and it should be accepted and pursued because it is a state of law. King has used emotive language also to capture the audienceââ¬â¢s attention. He quotes ââ¬Å"we are free at lastâ⬠; he repeats this line many times because it really impacts on how you look at segregation, as if itââ¬â¢s slavery or punishment. King really absorbs his audience into what heââ¬â¢s saying by using emotive language because it connects with them and controls their emotions. There is much more persuasive language and rhetoric manipulated in Kingââ¬â¢s speech but another of the main features is the sound patterns he uses, for example, onomatopoeia and alliteration. He quotes ââ¬Å"by the colour of their skin but by the content of their character.â⬠The ââ¬Ëcââ¬â¢s alliterate here, and ââ¬Ëcââ¬â¢ is a percussive consonant that really impacts the message, the ââ¬Ëbââ¬â¢s also have this affect. He uses this because it gives the speech a rhythm and makes it more interesting to listen to. In President Barak Obamaââ¬â¢s speech he also uses a range of persuasive techniques to engage his audience. Like King, he uses many similes and metaphors to help describe or make a point, also to encourage the audience to draw a link between two obviously unrelated things, and find similarities between them. Obama quotes ââ¬ËEvery so often the oath is taken amidst gathering clouds and raging stormsââ¬â¢ meaning, ââ¬Å"Every so often the oath is taken amidst a political situation as brutal as a gathering stormâ⬠or ââ¬Å"Every so often the oath is taken when the money has run out.â⬠Obama uses a clear, powerful metaphor that allows the audience to completely realize that ââ¬Å"gathering clouds and raging stormsâ⬠refers to the current US recession. Obama also used references to the declaration of independence like King did but in a slightly different way. He quotes ââ¬ËAmerica has carried onâ⬠¦ because We the People have remained faithful to the ideals of our forebears, and true to our founding documents.ââ¬â¢ He refers back to this to remind and mainly thank his audience for remaining loyal and essentially following the ways of the declaration of independence and Martin Luther King. Something that both Obama and King too both used a great deal was the rule of three. This is when the speaker narrows a subject down to three major points which all link. Obama quotes ââ¬ËHomes have been lost, jobs shed, businesses shuttered.ââ¬â¢ He uses these three because they are very strong and important. Using this rule makes a powerful impression to the audience on the topic, showing that it is a key issue. Repetition and imperative commands are core techniques used in all great speeches, it really highlights what, in this case, Obama and also King are trying to convey. In Obamaââ¬â¢s speech, he repeats the words ââ¬ËYes We Canââ¬â¢ quite a few times after talking about change or progress. This shows that he trying to imply that anything is achievable if you have the determination and strength to carry on and accomplish what you set out for. He uses this as a sort of catch phrase for the speech as a whole, as the main focus. The two speeches I have discussed are very much linked, with Martin Luther King being a direct impact on the banning of segregation and Barack Obama being the first black president they and their speeches relate. There are many similarities between the two, such as they both refer back to the declaration of independence and both use most of the same persuasive language and rhetoric in their speeches. The difference is that they arenââ¬â¢t exactly giving their speech on the same precise topic. The purpose of Martin Luther Kingââ¬â¢s speech was to explain to why black people should have rights along with white people, in which he called racial equality and end to discrimination. Whereas Barack Obamaââ¬â¢s speechââ¬â¢s focused on the subjects of racial tensions, white privilege, and race and inequality in the United States, discussing black ââ¬Å"anger,â⬠white ââ¬Å"resentment,â⬠and other issues, his speech closed with a request to move beyond America's ââ¬Å"racial stalemateâ⬠and concentrate on shared social problems. Both these speeches are very powerful, influential and convincing, they really explain their points well and make the audience aware of the problem or situation, they have a very persuasive tone, as a speech should have.

Decoding Appleââ¬â¢s Balance Sheet Apa Format Essay
Decoding Appleââ¬â¢s Balance Sheet In March of 2009, Apple had its best March quarter revenue and earnings in Apple history (Apple). In order to see how this occurred, it is important to look over the financial statements of Apple. There is a lot of information available to investors who are interested in investing in a company. By looking specifically at the balance sheet of Apple I am going to determine if investing in Apple is a good idea or a bad idea. Some things I am going to consider are Appleââ¬â¢s assets, liabilities, and shareholderââ¬â¢s equity. These areas should give me insight to how the best quarter in Apple history ame to be. Looking at the current assets of Apple, cash and cash equivalents went down from 1 1. 8 billion dollars to 4. 4 billion dollars. This may look bad at first, but all of the other assets must be added to this in order to get an overall picture of the assets. Short- term marketable securities went up from 10. 2 billion dollars to 20. 5 billion dollars. This helped Appleââ¬â¢s assets grow tremendously. Accounts receivable fell to 1. 9 billion dollars from 2. 4 billion dollars. With the rest of the current assets fgured in, inventories, deferred tax assets, and other current assets, the total current assets ose to 33. billion dollars from 32. 3 billion dollars. That was a rise of 1. 5 billion dollars (Apple). It is important to take into account the rest of the assets. For example, long-term marketable securities rose 1. 5 billion dollars, property, plant and equipment rose 0. 91 billion dollars, goodwill stayed the same, acquired intangible assets fell 0. 017 billion dollars, and othe r assets rose 0. 56 billion dollars. Now that we know how each asset was affected during this quarter, we come to the final numbers, which are total assets rose 3. 6 billion dollars. Apple grew its assets substantially during this quarter. I would think Apple would be a good company to invest in. Before I made any decisions I would investigate the balance sheet further in order to compare liabilities and shareholderââ¬â¢s equity with the previous quarter. This will give me a better understanding of the financial situation of the company (Apple). Current liabilities are in the first section of liabilities and shareholderââ¬â¢s equity. The following accounts are current liabilities and how they fared. Accounts payable went down from 5. 5 billion dollars to 3. 9 billion dollars. Accrued expenses went down 1 billion dollars. Deferred revenue went up from 4. 8 billion dollars to 7 billion dollars. The total change in current liabilities was a decrease of 0. 4 billion dollars. The other two liabilities categories, deferred revenue (non-current) and other non-current liabilities, rose collectively 0. 7 billion dollars. This gives the total liabilities a rise of 0. 3 billion dollars. This amount compared to current assets is not as significant. So far Apple is still looking like a good investment because the assets of Apple rose 1. 5 billion dollars whereas their liabilities only rose 0. billion dollars. It is now time to take a look at the final category of the balance sheet, the shareholderââ¬â¢s equity (Apple). The value of shareholders equity, common stock, rose from 7. 1 billion dollars to billion dollars. Accumulated other comprehensive income rose . 07 billion dollars. Total shareholderââ¬â¢s equity rose 3. 3 billion dollars. So adding together the rise of 0. 4 billion dollars in liabilities with the 3. 3 billion dollar rise of the shareholderââ¬â¢s equity, we get the same amount, 3. 7 billion dollars, as we got for the rise in total assets. The balance sheet balances (Apple). With the rise in assets, which led to the rise in retained earnings, I think Apple would be a good company to invest in because they are growing their business. I would want to look at past financial statements, specifically the balance sheets, in order to compare assets, liabilities, and shareholderââ¬â¢s equity from past quarters, but from the information presented on the balance sheet from this quarter I would be willing to invest in Apple. References Apple reports second quarter results. (2009, April 22). Retrieved August 29, 2010, from http://www. apple. com/pr/library/2009/04/22results. html
